Description

At the Südostbayerisches Naturkunde- und Mammut-Museum in Siegsdorf, a fascinating journey through the region's prehistory awaits you! Here, you'll not only discover traces of 45,000-year-old mammoth bones, but also marvel at Europe's largest and best-preserved mammoth skeleton, complete with an impressive cast. Siegsdorf is one of Europe's most important archaeological sites, proving that mammoths, cave lions, woolly rhinos, giant deer, and even humans once lived here. 🦁

Across 650 m² and four floors, the museum presents an exciting overview of 250 million years of Southeast Bavarian Earth history – from geology and diverse fossils to the giants of the Ice Age and Stone Age. Look forward to experience-oriented interactive programs and explore the mysterious Bear Cave with its cave bear skeletons. Outdoors, there's a life-sized mammoth replica, and a mobile mammoth model also awaits discovery by you. 🐘

This exciting journey into the past is suitable for all ages and offers special experiences for children from 0 to 18 years.
