Inklusiver Spielplatz

Since 2024, a remarkable inclusive natural playground has been located in the center of the Sonsbecker Play and Sports Park. Covering around 4,500 square meters, it combines modern play equipment with a nature-inspired setting. The playground offers children of all ages a variety of ways to play freely and explore nature through play. A wheelchair-accessible carousel, a communication board, and barrier-free access ensure that all children can play together.

Adults have new seating and resting areas available, inviting them to relax while the children play. The natural character of the playground, shaded trees, and short paths make it an appealing destination for family outings, picnics, or as a stopover on a bike ride through the Lower Rhine landscape. Its central location in the Play and Sports Park also allows for combining the visit with other recreational activities in Sonsbeck, such as the skatepark and sports facilities. A publicly accessible drinking fountain completes the offer.
