Description

The Kunstforum Ostdeutsche Galerie takes you on an exciting journey through the art history of East Central Europe from the 19th century to today. The focus is on art by German-speaking artists who have lived and worked in this region – so you’ll discover the stories behind the artworks.

In addition to the permanent exhibition, changing special exhibitions invite you to explore current questions about contemporary art in East Central Europe. A special highlight is the sculpture park „Kunst im Stadtpark“, which extends the experience outdoors.

For creative minds aged 12 and up, the BrushHour offers a family-friendly workshop where you can be inspired by masterpieces and get hands-on yourself. Those who prefer to discover art history can learn more about the regional connection to Eastern art during the guided tour „Fresh Wind from Breslau“.

Another highlight is the collaboration with Denkraum Ukraine, which offers interdisciplinary events on historical and current stories of flight, deepening the understanding of social contexts.

For a cozy break, the mobile coffee bar „Rehorik am KOG“ provides a charming link to regional history and creates a special atmosphere.
