LandPark Lauenbrück

Description
LandPark Lauenbrück, the Scharnow Foundation's "Animal Helps People," offers amazing moments for all generations 365 days a year.
In this lovingly designed animal and landscape park between Hamburg and Bremen, you can experience nature with all your senses. The paths are built to be barrier-free, making them easy to navigate with walking aids and wheelchairs. These can be borrowed free of charge with prior reservation. Sturdy wagons are also available on-site for a small fee.
But what can you discover here?
Endangered wild and domestic animals
At LandPark Lauenbrück, 200 wild and domestic animals live in spacious enclosures and large barns. Most of these breeds are endangered, like the woolly pigs, aurochs, or Zwartbless sheep. It is very important to us to ensure the survival of these endangered species and to care for their preservation. With some animals, you can even get up close. Whether petting the goats and donkeys or visiting the fallow deer enclosure.
Play areas for all generations and even for dogs
During your walk through the animal park, you'll find various opportunities to play along the way. Play landscapes like the deep rope garden, swing forest, castle fort, or giant dune blend wonderfully into the forest and meadow landscape. Every generation can climb extensively, swing together or alone, or take a ride on the zip line. Dogs are also warmly welcome at LandPark Lauenbrück. There is a special dog play forest just for them.
Park landscape for relaxing
Beautiful beds, ponds, and naturally growing nature areas are also a feast for the eyes. Whether raised beds or barefoot paths, each landscape offers unique sensory experiences. Visitors can discover wonderfully fragrant herbs in many places or even pick berries straight from the bush, as snacking is expressly allowed here. Lounge chairs, seating areas, and shelters offer plenty of opportunities to stay, relax, picnic, or sunbathe.
Offers for families, birthday parties, and groups
Whether exploring on your own or with expert guidance from nature education. The LandPark team plans outings for young and old individually based on group size, age, and interests. On the website, you'll find materials like puzzles, coloring pages, games, and more available for families to download and print themselves. These can be used during the park visit.
