Description

The Lechfeldmuseum mit Heimatvertriebenenstube takes you on a journey back to the early days of Königsbrunn, showcasing rural life, living conditions, and the clothing of settlers in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Here you'll find over 4,500 exhibits, including one of the earliest Käthe Kruse dolls – a fascinating insight into historical children's toys – as well as finely crafted clockworks that demonstrate the technical skills of past eras.

Children learn how people lived back then: with authentically furnished living and sleeping rooms, old school benches, bakeries, and cobbler workshops. Traditional crafts like embroidery, crocheting, and knitting are also presented – not just as work, but as hobbies.

Additionally, the museum illustrates communication of the time through postcards and postmarks, while the processing of flax into finished household linens reveals the busy everyday life.

The Heimatvertriebenenstube features numerous exhibits commemorating refugees and displaced persons from the Sudetenland, Egerland, and Transylvania.
