Description

The Lernwerkstatt Frieden – Friedensmuseum in Meeder invites you to explore stories of global peace and actively reflect on peace. The exhibition addresses four key questions of peace education, dealing with the causes and consequences of wars as well as the true meaning of peace.

You will find permanent displays of historical artifacts, documents, and biographies from around the world that illustrate the value and fragility of peace. Especially worth seeing since 2022 is the textile art project Ravensburger Friedensteppich with 45 individual panels symbolizing growth and journey.

The Friedensmuseum actively collaborates with regional partners to promote democracy and tolerance – including through a multimedia peace map.

Special events such as a free haiku reading on the theme of longing for silence and a screening of "The White Rose" offer additional cultural experiences and deepen the peace education experience.
