Description

The LWL Industriemuseum Glashütte Gernheim amazes with a historic glassworks where you can experience daily live glassblowing demonstrations – done the traditional way with a pipe, wooden mold, and scissors. 🔥

Watch the skilled artisans as they enhance glass objects through engraving and cutting. In the authentically preserved factory village with workers’ houses, you can vividly see how the glassworker families once lived.

Regular exhibitions of international glass art featuring vases, glasses, and decorative pieces invite you to marvel. The museum brings the fascination of glass to life – with interactive activities and special family tours that playfully introduce you to the world of a 19th-century glass factory.
