Description

The LWL-Museum Schiffshebewerk Henrichenburg impresses with an imposing, historic ship lift that overcomes a canal height difference of 14 meters – an exciting technical monument for the whole family.

The museum grounds offer many attractions: a water playground invites kids to play, and boat tours provide fun hours on the water. Families can also explore several historic buildings such as the two upper towers, the boiler house, and the machine hall.

Especially exciting are the interactive model exhibits in the machine hall, where children can try out how the ship lift works. An interactive navigation exhibition also makes the subject clear and lively.

The program is specifically aimed at families and children with guided family tours and holiday activities. Children and teenagers up to 17 years old, as well as school groups, enjoy free admission. Seasonal events and special holiday programs for children aged 7 to 12 years complete the offer.
