The Mühlenkreis Minden-Lübbecke offers a unique milling experience with 42 restored wind, water, and horse mills. Among them is Germany's only still operational ship mill – a true highlight that shapes the region.

The mills are connected by the Westfälische Mühlenstraße, a 320-kilometer-long bike route perfect for family cycling tours throughout the entire Minden-Lübbecke district.

From March to October, the mills open their doors on various grinding and baking days, welcoming visitors with Westphalian hospitality. Here you can experience traditional crafts and regional specialties – ideal for families looking for an exciting outing.
