Description
Walther von der Vogelweide is one of the most important lyric poets and singers of the Middle Ages. He lived between 1165 and 1230 and is said to have spent a considerable part of his life as a traveling minstrel. It is not known for certain where he came from, but the Lajener Ried is considered one of the possible origins, or even the most likely one. The Minnehus is therefore dedicated to the undisputed star of the Middle Ages.
