Description
The castle, built in the 12th century, was expanded between the 14th and 16th centuries. Its present appearance is shaped by Renaissance remodeling in the 17th century under Engelhard Dietrich von Wolkenstein (1566-1647). The castle tour also includes a castle exhibition. Around 80 South Tyrolean castles in miniature by Ludwig Mitterdorfer (1885–1963) are on display.
