Märchenwald Altenberg

Märchenwald Altenberg is a themed park dedicated to preserving and presenting classic fairy tales and legends. Visitors experience the stories of the Brothers Grimm and other traditional tales that often connect with personal childhood memories.

Along the forest paths, more than 20 themed buildings are arranged. They house partly animated figures and scenes, accompanied by music and narration that engage visitors. Dogs on a leash are allowed.

For the safety of visitors, adverse weather conditions may lead to temporary park closures. Information is available through Märchenwald's official channels.

The on-site Märchenwald Restaurant complements the experience. It features the 'Dancing Fountains,' a water organ with illuminated water figures synchronized to classical music.
