Museum Tabakspeicher

Description
## Short Description
The Museum Tabakspeicher offers a cross-section of Northhausen's industry and crafts.
## Description
The building housing the museum today was constructed in the 18th century and was used as a tobacco warehouse in the 19th and 20th centuries. Together with the adjacent barn built in 2000, the Speicher is now used as a museum. Both half-timbered buildings display exhibitions covering crafts, trades, industry, and archaeology over more than 1,000 m2. All parts of the exhibition are interesting for children and teenagers, with educational programs offered. "Museum by Night" is another highlight.
In special interactive areas, visitors can explore telecommunication technologies from various centuries. The cinema room showcases old projection equipment. Children can, for example, take part in a museum rally. Other exhibition areas illustrate the conditions in a laundry room and a general store.
Since early 2021, the Museum Tabakspeicher can also be explored through a virtual tour.
