MuseumsLandschaft Abtsküche offers you an exciting day with four very different museums that together explore fascinating topics about nature, history, and the environment.

At the Museum Abtsküche, you can experience a historical school lesson in the former rural folk school from 1908 – here you can even take a seat yourself and learn.

The Firefighter Museum shows on over 1,200 m² how fires were fought in the past and what equipment was used.

In the Forest and Water Museum, located in a nature reserve inside the former municipal water treatment plant, you will learn a lot of interesting facts about nature.

The Environmental Education Center, with its bird collection, answers fascinating questions about local wildlife, such as the true nature of the “stink bird” and how to identify bird species.

All museums are mostly run by volunteers and offer free admission – making a visit a great and affordable family experience.

Surrounding the MuseumsLandschaft, there are many hiking trails that perfectly combine museum visits and nature experiences. This includes the Neanderland Steig and the Vogelsangbachtal with its diverse flora and fauna.
