Description
Housed in a hunting lodge dating from around 1690, the Muzeum historických motocyklů awaits you. The building is one of the oldest in the heart of the Šumava and is a piece of history in its own right. Alongside historic motorcycles, you can also see old cars and bicycles here.
The highlights include:
- The first Škoda automobile ever built, with wooden spoke wheels
- A charming Aerovka from 1931
- A sportier version of the world-famous Čechie motorcycle
- A 1921 Görner motorcycle, built in nearby Klatovy
For a break, the stylish Zámeček castle restaurant, right on the museum grounds, invites you to stop in.
