Nordbad

In front of you, the lively beach life, the open North Sea, and sunbathing seals on the seal bank – behind you, the bustling activity of the North Sea island. A unique combination: the long sandbank of the Borkum reef protects against the surf and offers an ideal water sports area – all very close to the island town. At Nordbad, the best of both worlds merges into this special Borkum atmosphere. Here, between two swims, you can enjoy a latte macchiato with live music or a snack at one of the typical milk huts – all at reasonable mainland prices.

There are good reasons why all Borkum guests love to stroll here: families with children, singles, couples, and seniors alike. The promenade of the largest East Frisian island is simply a natural meeting point for everyone. There’s the pavilion with daily health resort music, the cafés and bars where from the terrace you can experience the most beautiful sunsets. Maybe a "sundowner" would taste good with that? By the way, nearby you’ll also find a specially designated beach igloo area, a dog beach, numerous beach tent and beach chair rentals, and from May to October, beach entertainment. The DLRG monitors the beach section and has a mobile rescue station near the music pavilion.

Since Borkum is not a fixed island shape but rather an ever-changing area influenced by wind, sea, and currents, there can also be shifts in the Nordbad area.
