Technisches Museum Ölmühle Pockau

The Technisches Museum Ölmühle Pockau showcases a fully operational watermill from 1783 – a true rarity in Central Europe. Here, you can experience the historic technology of oil extraction from various centuries up close.

The exhibition also features a more recent mill that demonstrates oil production in the 20th century. You can gain a detailed insight into the life and working conditions of oil millers from earlier times.

A very special experience is the traditional mill charm with the warm greeting “Glück zu!”. The Pockau Ölmühle is also the only one of formerly 16 historic mills in the Pockau-Flöha area that is still preserved in its original state today.
