Description

The animal enclosure covers an area of about 3.2 hectares and is home to around 70 animals from 18 native species. The main entrance to the Tiergehege Glauchau is located on Lungwitzer Straße. At the entrance, you'll find "Riedels Teich," where various species of ducks and geese live. A little further inside the enclosure, there is a house with small pigs, and next door, various rabbits and guinea pigs live. On the right side runs a large horned-animal enclosure housing different breeds of goats and sheep. Opposite is the duck pond, and behind it, the enclosures for ponies and donkeys.

In 2015, management was handed over to the Haus- und Nutztierverein Glauchau e. V., ensuring the animals are cared for properly. Since then, the association has lovingly worked to enhance the facility and relies on financial support. If you want to get involved with the animal enclosure, you are welcome to help with a donation. For more information, please contact the association or check the information boards right in the enclosure.
