Westerwälder Drachenflugfest 2026

The popular free "Westerwälder Drachenflugfest" takes place on the nearly 18,000 sq m meadow below the Horhausen fire station (Floriansweg).

Professionals with spectacular kites are expected again to show off their flying skills. Children, teens, and interested adults are invited to spend two exciting days in Horhausen flying their kites.

After dark, the kite flying club invites you to enjoy an illuminated backdrop.

Food and drinks are provided:

Hearty dishes like pizza, pasta, Asian food, as well as classics like currywurst with fries are available.

For those with a sweet tooth, delicious muffins are offered.

On cold days, mulled wine and children's punch in a small tent create a cozy atmosphere.
