Description
The Bergwerk Villanders was one of the most important ore-mining areas in Tirol during the Middle Ages. After it was shut down in the early 20th century, it fell into obscurity. The Kultur- und Museumsverein Villanders has painstakingly made it accessible to the public again. Several tunnels can be visited on guided tours.
