Description

## Brief description

You can explore a roundhouse built at the end of the 19th century, along with numerous steam, diesel, and electric locomotives and smaller railway exhibits at the DB Museum – die ganze Welt der Eisenbahn.

## Description

DB Museum is a real experience, not just for train enthusiasts. The oldest locomotive in the DB Museum is a steam engine from 1906, and the heaviest is the 03 1010. This standard express train locomotive weighs a whopping 163 tons, equivalent to 27 fully grown African elephants. Here you can discover various steam, diesel, and electric locomotives, most of which are housed in a roundhouse that was built in 1895 with nine stalls originally, with more and larger stalls added later. The turntable is also a vintage piece from 1929. Besides the impressive locomotives, the permanent exhibition teaches you a lot about the history of railways.
