Description

The Deutsches Schloss- und Beschlägemuseum offers lots of exciting ways for children to explore technology and history through play. In the holiday workshops, kids aged 6 to 11 can get creative, like in the upcycling workshop for 6- to 9-year-olds or the art with light and shadow workshop for kids 6 to 10. The "Fire and Flame" workshop is also aimed at young explorers aged 7 to 11.

For special experiences, there is a Halloween kids’ film screening for ages 6 and up, as well as flashlight night tours starting at age 6 that create thrilling adventures. Plus, there’s a kids’ tour with the superhero Keyra, who actively guides children through the exhibition and shares exciting insights.

From age 6, children can also celebrate their birthday at the museum, with space for up to 10 kids. The museum shop offers specialist books, trick locks, and games that will delight any budding inventor.

Special highlights include the special exhibitions like “Myth and Mechanics – The World of Trick Locks,” which provide fascinating insights into the realm of secret locks.
