Dorfschulmuseum

The Dorfschulmuseum brings you closer to rural life in the typical one-room village schools of Bavaria from the 19th century until 1969. 🏫 Here, you can explore classrooms spread over two floors with teaching and learning materials, books, tools, and science as well as historical collections from 1920 to 1969.

The exhibitions on handicrafts, natural history, and history are especially impressive and vividly illustrate how learning took place at the time. Visitors can experience how village teachers taught the children in rural communities.

For those who can't visit in person, there is a virtual 360-degree tour—explore the schoolhouse and classroom comfortably from home. Additionally, exciting events are held, such as the lecture and film "Courage for Pedagogy" about the history of Bavarian elementary schools.
