Description

The Oberfränkisches Feuerwehrmuseum invites you on an exciting journey back to the 12th century: Enjoy family time in the unique setting of the historic Schloss Schauenstein.

The exhibition presents the history of the fire department in the Hof district from 1855 to today, featuring many original firefighting tools that were actually used here. This offers a fascinating glimpse into technology and history, especially for children aged 12 and up.

  • Original historic fire trucks, hand pumps, and motor pumps
  • Foam sprayers, breathing and gas masks
  • Uniforms, badges, and archival documents

The museum is run by active firefighters in a volunteer association who have invested over 30,000 hours in restoration – their dedication makes the visit special.

One great bonus: children enter for free. Celebrate Sunday from April to October with an outing that brings history to life! 🚒
