Description

A historic cultural monument on the island of Amrum

The Öömrang Hüs in Nebel is a captain’s house with a thatched roof, built in 1683. It is run by an association and preserved as a museum faithfully furnished to its original style. In the living quarters of this historic Frisian house from the 18th century, you can visit several rooms. These include the living room, which was warmed by a side stove from the kitchen. This "Bilegger" dating from 1681 stands before a particularly beautiful tile wall featuring the tableau of a trading ship whose captain once owned the house. Wedding couples have the option to get married at the Öömrang Hüs.
