Historisches Technikzentrum der Stadtwerke – Mitmachen statt anschauen

Description
## Short Description
In the former substation, you can experience the Historisches Technikzentrum der Stadtwerke – Mitmachen statt anschauen. The historical exhibition, water workshop, and discovery stations provide knowledge through play.
## Description
The building housing the Historisches Technikzentrum der Stadtwerke is already worth seeing – an old substation from 1928 with its brick walls and green gates. Inside, three exciting sections await you. The historical exhibition shows how and with what tools the supply to the population in Halle worked in the past. You’ll learn who is behind the voice announcement on the tram, what an ammeter is used for, what a polecat has to do with sewer cleaning, and much more.
At the discovery stations, you can really get involved. Pedal hard to make the lamps light up or charge your phone with a hand crank. You're sure to break a sweat and will end up knowing, for example, why you should buy an LED lamp.
Finally, in the water workshop, it’s all about drinking water. Here you experiment with questions about taste, hardness, water sounds, and water pumping.
