Barrels and tanks are common in wine cellars – but tanks filled with seawater and various coral species are quite rare!
At the former Wendel vineyard, you’ll find exactly that in the coral farm: 18,000 liters of cultivation tanks hosting over 30,000 different coral types. Nestled in the quiet town of Leinsweiler, this is now Europe’s largest coral farm – supplying zoos, specialty retailers, and aquarium enthusiasts all across Europe.
Tours of the cultivation facility are available by appointment over the phone.
