Description

The Lodenwelt lets you see how raw wool becomes a durable fabric and a finished product. The tour leads through wind and weather – where loden has always been at home – up to the Alm. Each step of the process is shown, from shearing and washing the wool, through carding and spinning, to weaving, dyeing and fulling. At the end, a short exhibition traces how loden developed over the centuries and why it is still valued as an iconic material far beyond the mountains.

From May 2026, the museum's stations will also be available digitally.
