LVR-Freilichtmuseum Lindlar

Description
The LVR-Freilichtmuseum Lindlar invites you to embark on an exciting journey back in time through the Bergisches Land’s past, with its approximately 40 historic buildings and numerous craft demonstrations.
The extensive museum grounds cover 30 hectares and showcase not only traditional construction methods using sustainable materials but also a variety of garden landscapes that bring to life the way of living before the land consolidation of the 1950s.
During the autumn holidays, the museum offers a special children’s program encouraging hands-on activities. Under the motto "wonderfully usable," you can enjoy creative workshops like weaving decorative garden spheres or making smoked chocolates – ideal for the whole family! 🍂
At the Potato Festival on October 18, there are plenty of interactive activities centered around the potato, along with demonstrations in the bakery, rope-making workshop, and smithy showcasing traditional craft techniques.
Other family highlights include a clothing swap event promoting sustainability and a seminar about old chicken breeds and the basics of chicken-keeping – so children and parents learn together about life with animals. 🐔
