Description

MQ4 - Museumsquartier Osnabrück brings together four buildings under the theme of peace and invites you to explore how peaceful coexistence works through art and history in a vibrant urban laboratory.

The Felix-Nussbaum-Haus displays the world’s largest collection of works by Felix Nussbaum, a painter from Osnabrück who was murdered during the Holocaust. The exhibition conveys a powerful message of peace while addressing topics such as the Holocaust, flight, expulsion, war, and cultural identity.

The Kulturgeschichtliche Museum offers a multimedia, family-friendly permanent exhibition on the history of Osnabrück.

At the Villa_, you can interactively learn about democracy, memorial culture, and the history of National Socialism, while engaging with themes like discrimination and civic courage.

The Akzisehaus complements the diverse offerings with events and workshops.

Interactive and dialog-based tours and workshops especially invite families and children to deeply engage with art and history. 🎨

During the fall break, there are special programs for children and families such as architectural model building and print workshops featuring Felix Nussbaum motifs. 🏛️
