Description
Naturmuseum Dortmund is a municipal natural history museum. It covers zoology, botany, geology, paleontology, and mineralogy through collections, exhibitions, and educational programs. The collections include about 250,000 objects, among them 150,000 insects and 70,000 minerals, rocks, and fossils. The museum's main focus is on education and outreach. Until mid-2020, Naturmuseum Dortmund was known as the “Museum für Naturkunde der Stadt Dortmund.”
