Description

Deutsches Kaltwalzmuseum takes you on a journey through 200 years of craftsmanship and technological history from Westphalia and Lippe – up close and vivid in historic buildings.

You can watch how nails, scythes, cigars, and much more are made using original tools. You’re encouraged to see, hear, and touch to fully experience each step of the work.

There are exciting hands-on workshops for families, such as papermaking, that you can explore together.

The museum is set in a charming natural landscape, inviting you to enjoy a pleasant outdoor experience as well.

  • Exhibits in lovingly restored old half-timbered houses show how craftsmanship was lived in the past.

  • Traditional shops from about 60 years ago, including a general store and a fresh bakery, are part of the museum.

  • Special kids’ birthday party programs with interactive, fun activities create great moments.

  • Guided tours and tactile experience programs invite families to discover craftsmanship with all their senses – smell, touch, experience.
