Naturnaher Wasserspielplatz

The Naturnaher Wasserspielplatz in Aurich invites you to adventurous experiences with its water-and-sand play area featuring boulders, seating pods, and playhouses, as well as a challenging balance and climbing forest. A willow igloo and dwarf willows create cozy spots, and the "Lümmelpodesten" around a large tree are perfect for relaxing. This playground was custom-built for this location, made almost entirely from natural materials: wood, stone, sand, and water. The students of Aurich Elementary School painted it colorfully. Right next to the playground is a sports field where you can also burn off energy playing soccer. There is also a ping-pong table. Directions: Coming from Vaihingen, follow Hirsauer Straße through the town. Just after the bridge over the Kreuzbach, turn left onto Buchental Street and follow signs for "Friedhof" (cemetery). The playground is located opposite the cemetery. Parking is available at the cemetery, at the school, and by the fire station.
