Description

The Deutsches Dampflokomotiv Museum lets you experience the steam locomotive with all your senses. Especially exciting is the exhibition about the famous 'Black Giants' and the fascinating technology behind them.

Discover how the Schiefe Ebene – Europe’s oldest steep railway incline – mastered the height difference of 158 meters. Here, railway history comes alive and is clearly explained.

The museum also includes the Eisenbahnerdorf, a historic railway workers’ village that invites you to a circular tour to explore the close connection between steam locomotive history and village life.

Special family-friendly highlights include the Winterzauber family festival 🎉 as well as readings on Reading Day – there is plenty to experience and discover for both young and old.
