Eisenbahnmuseum Bochum fascinates everyone interested in railway history and interactive experiences. Around 100 dedicated volunteers help bring historic steam locomotives and exhibits to life here.

On August 30, a special Children's Day takes place – perfect for families with kids! Visitors can also explore the beautiful Ruhr Valley on rides with historic steam locomotives and enjoy genuine railway romance.

The museum regularly offers seasonal highlights such as:

  • Museum Days in April

  • Garden Railway Meetups in May

  • Autumn Festival in September

  • Christmas rides with Saint Nicholas train in November/December 🎄
