Description

Das Franz Marc Museum in the picturesque Kochel am See combines art, nature, and architecture for a special experience between mountains and lake. Here you can gain fascinating insights into classical modernism and current art themes.

For children aged 7 and up, as well as teenagers, there is a diverse range of activities: in the Open Studio in the BlauRaum, all age groups can get creative and make their own art before or after visiting the museum, guided by experienced art educators. During the holiday course “Turn Your Photo into Art!”, young photographers aged 12 and older are invited to create inspiring travel journals with their smartphones, inspired by the exhibition.

Every Sunday, art history tours invite you to learn more about Franz Marc, the artist group Der Blaue Reiter, the collection, and current exhibitions – perfect for discovering art in a lively way. Attendance is limited to 20 people, keeping tours intimate and engaging.

The outdoor Sculpture Park offers the chance to enjoy art and nature together – a great spot for families who want to experience art outdoors. Afterwards, the café “Franz am See” welcomes you with fine cuisine, ice cream, and cakes to relax and enjoy.

An eventful day for families and art lovers of all ages awaits you at the Franz Marc Museum – Kunst im 20. Jahrhundert!
