At the Stadtmuseum Weilheim i. OB, you will find an exciting exhibition called glas-licht-kunst featuring impressive glass artworks by three female artists that creatively display the interaction of color, light, and transparency. 💎
There is also the 1st Weilheim Graffiti Competition – graffiti artists are invited to design the new entrance to a public restroom. The best design wins 500 Euro!
The museum's collection includes artworks from the Weilheim School as well as archaeological finds from the Neolithic to the Early Middle Ages. Particularly worth seeing is a magnificent Renaissance cabinet from 1587 with intricate inlays and carvings.
Due to construction work, the permanent exhibition is currently closed, but exciting temporary exhibitions still offer plenty to discover. There is also a virtual tour that lets you explore the former permanent exhibition and its treasures online.
A special traveling exhibition is currently showcasing highlights of the Weilheim collection in Kaufbeuren – so you won’t miss out on these valuable exhibits even during the closure.
