Künstlerhaus Gasteiger
Description
Künstlerhaus Gasteiger invites you and your families to discover a unique blend of art and nature. Surrounded by a public landscape park, it offers a wonderful place to explore nature together and enjoy fresh air.
In the museum, you can admire many works by Mathias Gasteiger, including the 1902 sculpture group “The Dance” and the gilded figure of Eve from 1905. This art excitingly combines mythology and satire and invites you to spark children’s interest in art.
The former studio is now a small gallery featuring works by Anna Gasteiger – a fantastic chance for families to experience different forms of artistic expression.
The ensemble of the Künstlerhaus is considered a special example of Munich's Jugendstil from the early 20th century, making the visit an educational experience centered on art and design.
The garden and park, with their axial layout, designed park entrance, pond, and waterfront landscape, offer idyllic outdoor spaces ideal for relaxed family outings in an elegant setting.
