Museum Polling

Museum Polling showcases a diverse collection that brings to mind the wonder cabinets of the Renaissance. Spread over three floors, you can explore religious art, folk piety, natural history, painting, and rural everyday culture.

Particularly impressive is the extensive collection of minerals and fossils, along with the large tuff exhibition, which continues the tradition of the former natural history cabinet of the Augustinian monastery in Polling.

The museum has a long history: it all began in 1929 with a local history museum by the Polling Heritage Association, which was inspired by numerous donations and was reopened in 1983.
