Zeiss Planetarium Bochum

Zeiss Planetarium Bochum combines a central star projector with eleven specially developed video projectors to create a fascinating astronomical experience under the dome.

For children, there is the interactive show “Fritz Fliege flies into space” featuring the characters Fritz, Sigrid, and Gustav. An adventure full of imagination, knowledge, and star magic invites you to join the journey.

Equally popular is the kids’ program with “The Olchis”, well-known children’s book characters who travel to space for the first time, captivating young visitors with a familiar story.

In addition to exciting shows, the astronomy and astrophotography workshops for beginners offer the chance to learn the basics and try out the telescope hands-on – combined with engaging lectures.

Musical programs like “Major Tom: totally detached” celebrate iconic music and astronomy with immersive fulldome experiences, inspired by Peter Schilling’s career and world hits.

• Spectacular live concerts under the dome’s starry sky blend piano, electronica, and cinema-quality soundscapes 🎶

• Anniversary shows like “Sparkling Stars & Endless Cosmos” showcase the beauty of the natural night sky and highlight the effects of light pollution.
