Description
Franzensfeste is one of the most impressive fortresses in the Alpine region and is considered a masterpiece of 19th-century Austrian military architecture. Today it is a place of dialogue between war and peace. Exhibitions of contemporary art and 65,000 sq m of space invite you to linger. The permanent exhibitions shed light on the more recent history of South Tyrol; Bunker 3 is accessible upon request.
