Description

## Short Description

From two to four wheels, everything that once made a name for itself in the GDR is represented here. You will also learn what happened to the popular Simsons and MZs after the reunification.

## Description

You won’t stop being amazed here. An exhibition hall filled to the ceiling with all sorts of vehicles: from tricycles, doll carriages, and scooters to the legendary Trabant and stylish—and sometimes adventurous—homemade vehicles. Plus countless police motorcycles, NVA emergency vehicles, and really big fire trucks.

This little journey through rolling GDR history is set up with great attention to detail and a love for technology. The fleet is so large the exhibition is periodically redesigned around different themes. The creators of Fahrzeugmuseum Staßfurt: Sammlung zum Anfassen also showcase special items like a 1947 saw truck, a Trabant with a rooftop tent, or a historically furnished auto repair shop. In a special exhibition, you can also find out how the production of the legendary Simson and MZ motorcycles continued after 1989 into the new millennium.
