Soziokulturelles Zentrum Ölmühle e.V. – ein Platz für viele

Description
## Short Description
Soziokulturelles Zentrum Ölmühle e.V. is a meeting place for many groups; both adults and children are welcome to attend the courses and events. There is also a café.
## Description
The history of the Ölmühle goes back to 1533. Later it was owned by the Roßlau district and served as a cloth, fulling, and oil mill. It was decommissioned in the 1920s and used as a residential building. From the 1980s, the building stood empty and fell into disrepair. Only in the early 1990s was the Ölmühle, now under monument protection, renovated. Today it is a socio-cultural center with a colorful program for all ages. On the ground floor, you can recharge with coffee and cake at the “Mühlentreff” café, and on the first floor, you can visit the Roßlau past. The Heimatstübchen is a lovingly curated exhibition featuring everyday objects, porcelain, as well as very old newspapers and city views. On the two upper floors, you will find the open children’s and youth area, which also offers holiday programs and courses, alongside classes for adults.
## Parking Information
The Ölmühle has its own parking spaces.
