Tierpark Petersberg

Description
Since 1965, a small zoo has existed on the 1.5-hectare natural terrain. It currently houses around 350 animals from about 45 species. The focus is on breeding and keeping native wild and domestic animals such as lynxes, foxes, horses, and sheep, as well as storks and many other species. You can also see and observe a number of especially popular animals, like the rare polar wolves. The porcupine enclosure comes highly recommended – you’re unlikely to have ever been this close to a porcupine before – along with the spacious walk-in Australian enclosure where you can get up close to parakeets and Parma wallabies. The zoo is designed to be very family-friendly. Whenever possible, animals are available for touching and feeding, with food only sold at the ticket office or vending machines for animal welfare reasons.
By the way, it’s also possible to sponsor animals or take part in exciting feeding sessions at Tierpark Petersberg.
